Highlights as listed on the live showcase. The full history is on the Changelog page and in the GitHub release notes.

Decision core

  • v1.44, System One with multiple providers. Four open-weight or local providers (ollama, llama.cpp, vLLM, TGI) plus three commercial APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini). A provider-neutral gateway, a local-first fallback chain, and per-provider token budgets.
  • v1.44, System One research and routing. Five dual-process-theory repositories catalogued. Decisions are routed to System 1 (fast heuristic) or System 2 (slow deliberative) by complexity, confidence, and effort budget.
  • v1.41, System One decision core. A four-voice council with vote entropy, confidence calibration (ECE/Brier), blind-spot detection, an agency layer (propose, audit, risk-gate, execute), knowledge-graph storage, and a dream cycle (release, prune, reconcile, crystallize, distill).
  • v1.43, Autonomic Kanban supervision. Evidence-backed board supervision: scan boards, promote cards past an evidence threshold, auto-move low-signal cards, and generate supervision reports.

Skills and analysis

  • v1.42, Social science skill suite. Humanizer (writing-pattern diagnosis), Paperwork (citation management, APA bibliographies), Research Corpus (source aggregation, reading progress), and a Skill Table that merges external research skills.
  • v1.40, Readability metrics. Coleman-Liau, Dale-Chall, FORCAST, and PMOSE/IKIRSCH grading for vault notes, plus a Chinese readability reference.
  • v1.37 to v1.39, Sub-skill decomposition. subagents.py, converse_learn.py, metrics.py, and sota_scan.py split into focused sub-skills (ingestor, linker, reviewer, researcher, graph-analyst, curator, and others).

Safety and operations

  • v1.24, Local git safety net. Hook session_git_snapshot.py into Hermes’ on_session_end and every session gets its own commit you can diff or revert. History is local only: it never pushes or fetches. A secret-scanning gate blocks the commit if anything looks like an API key or private key, and logs only the file path.
  • v1.23.1, Cron runs kept separate. Cron logs, lock files, and cron-run notes live in 04-Archives/Cron/, so Daily/ holds only real chats. migrate_cron_sessions.py moves old notes and is safe to re-run.
  • v1.23, Post-install verification. The installers finish by running verify_install, which checks vault structure, plugins, the MCP server, and the memory pipeline.
  • v1.23, Opt-in feature packs. Scripts are grouped into beginner, analyst, poweruser, and experimental packs under _System/Scripts/features/.
  • v1.23, Template drift checker. template_drift.py compares your vault to the latest template release by SHA-256 and sorts every file into safe, customised, outdated, or missing.
  • v1.22, Interactive memory review. promote_memory.py --review walks through pending candidates one by one: promote, dismiss, or skip. Every action lands in the audit log.
  • v1.22, Dream cycle v2. dream_cycle.py was rebuilt as an autonomous reflection engine that consolidates memories between sessions.
